Laverton railway station is located between Railway Avenue and Maher Road, with both roads providing access into the station via a footbridge at the Werribee end of the station. From street level, access to both the footbridge and the platforms is available by stairs or elevator.
The station consists of three platforms:
- Platform 1 are located at the entrance to Platform 1, whilst "coin only" Metcard and Myki ticket vending machines are located inside the waiting room. There are two Metcard ticket validators and two Myki fare-payment devices at the entrance to Platform 1, as well as four Metcard validators and four Myki fare-payment devices located inside the waiting area on the island platform.
